Programme ZOV is working in six major municipal centers and adjacent municipalities: Burgas (incl. the municipalities of Malko Tarnovo ( Zvezdets village) and Sredets), Montana (Kosharnik neighborhood and Gabrovnitsa village), Plovdiv (incl. Kuklen), Ruse (incl. the municipalities of Vetovo, Senovo, Ivanovo and Borovo), Sliven and Shumen (incl. Ivanski village).
The locations have been selected taking into account the compact population of Roma and Turkish people and other vulnerable groups, who are living there in ghettos or segregated areas, unemployed people or with an income below the social threshold. Isolation and poverty of these groups dooms their children to illiteracy and unemployment in the future.
It was of importance to work with the active administration of the municipal centers that prepare integrated projects and provide active partnership with local institutions and NGOs.
